letters

April 17th, 1917

The emperor has a growing concern that the German barbarians drive for mechanization that may consist of weapons more devastating and more destructive than anything the world has ever seen. As his agent, I am honored to act to insure that any bizarre weapons will be secured for Japan’s benefit.

(Alternative Story: Dark Tales)

March 2nd, 1918

As my leadership skills provide the victory against that wretched von Trapp, it has been brought to the attention of the emperor himself. I have been instructed to meet him for a matter of great importance to our nation.
Perhaps the emperor recognizes the importance of Samurai traditions, even in these dark times of great cultural change.
Though I am haunted by the twisted dreams that seem to grow in the night of war, perhaps the spirit of my ancestries seek to warn me upon this new threat that will rise.

    -Nayuko Yamashita

Nayuko is considered to be one of METAL STORM's most strongest and wisest woman, due to her abilities to calm her mind; her reputation was known for her actions in World War I.

Nayuko during the Great War was a Japanese military agent who took over her father's position due to his severe illness.

EARLY LIFE

She was known for the defeat on a German military organization known as Unit 435, this para military organization was an organized group of German scientists that were seeking solutions of mechanized war machines to create a possible victory for Germany and the Central Powers.

Born into a aristocratic family in Nagaoka, Niigata, Japan, Nayuko's father,
Katsuo, was one of the Emperor's loyal agents and notable Samurai, along with Capt. Tomohiro Takahashi.

Nayuko grew up under a society where it kept to its old traditions and in her teens her family made arrange marriage proposal for her to marry Akashi whom was the only son of Tomohiro's family.

NAYUKO and THE GREAT WAR

By the time the Great War begun, Japan had declared war on Germany and her allies, by 1914, Japan seized all the Imperial colonies of the German Empire. With this Katsuo became severely ill and he wanted Nayuko to continue his mission for the Emperor.

Nayuko wished to fulfill her father's mission and she gained permission to participate in the war in Europe. The Emperor assigned Nayuko her father's mission, the mission was to discover the origins of the mysterious German military group Unit 435.

By 1915, Nayuko, Tomohiro, and his son Akashi were sent to England to begin their service. Nayuko and Akashi embraced racial discrimination among many from England, but this did not intervene on her mission. Her fiance Akashi was sent to flying school to learn to become a pilot for the Royal Flying Corps.

After witnessing the German Zeppelin air raid attacks in England, Nayuko set forth making communicating in France, in order to join the French Intelligence , she met with the French Colonel Jean-François LaMont, and he received the more detailed evidence of Unit 435.

By 1917, Nayuko and Akashi were headed to France on a British naval ship, it was sunken by U-28, commanded by German naval officer Herr Kapitianleutant Eckhardt Steiner, however Nayuko and Akashi were able to capture him and used his U-boat to head to France.

With the heroic attempt on capturing one of Germany's top deadly naval officers, LaMont assigned her the detailed files of Unit 435, and then Nayuko spend her days in the No. 50 Squadron RAF areodrome to meditate on her mission, while Akashi learn how to fly under 1st Lieutenant Crispinus Soren Williams.

As soon she gained more information on the Military group, she carried out on a spying mission to search for a woman whom was LaMont's spies, this woman went by a German code name "Howitzer" and nicknamed "The Woman in Blue", after a daring escape from Berlin meeting Professor Ernst von Trapp, the ruthless leader of Unit 435, and the Austrian Scientist, Dr. Albrecht Olbricht, she gained the whereabouts of the military group.

Unit 435 was near the excavation borders of France and Germany, as Nayuko lead a British force in the trenches she was ambushed by German Stormtroopers, she and Tomohiro were captured, also Nayuko saw Akashi being shot down by German Pilots that were ordered by von Trapp. They were taken prisoner as Nayuko griefs for Akashi, later they found themselves in Unit 435; Nayuko meets with the woman whom she was to meet and then they manage to escape to Dr. Olbricht as a hostage, in exchange for Akashi being helped by the Germans.

At the end, Akashi and Nayuko defeated von Trapp with their small band of Allies including a Australian soldier named Bernard Williams, as the result Unit 435 was finally shut down and shall never fulfill its victory for Germany.

INTER WAR YEARS, WWII, and BEYOND

Nayuko spent the rest of her life with her new husband Akashi, as they married in 1921, they had their first and only son Isamu; Akashi grew a mild hatred for the Allies after WWI, since he receive no credit of his service. Akashi soon joined the Imperial Japanese Naval Air Force and continued his piloting career, as it goes on to World War II, Nayuko began to fear for Akashi, she then had a horrifying foreshadowing prophecy of the death of her husband and the vision of the Nazi's goal for world Domination if they were to win the war.

Nayuko and her family lived in England under the protected supervision of the British government  and never faced the horror of the Atomic Bomb that struck Hiroshima and Nagasaki; they returned to their home with Akashi until 1955.

METAL STORM: The Dark Tales

Nayuko plays a huge character in the Alternative Dieselpunk series where she failed to destroy Unit 435, and the Germans had unleashed their ultimate weapons, the Clankers, robotic war machines with a mind of absolute belligerent minds of destruction. Nayuko seeks the guidance of a mysterious voice of a little girl, who influences her to gather all the humans to stand up against the machines.
